I love pediatric dentistry because I love having the ability to make a positive difference in a child’s life. To me, the perfect dental appointment is one where the child discovers they are able to participate without fear or pain, and thus gain more self confidence. I love showing my patients that going to the dentist is not always scary, and it’s sometimes even fun! My goal is to restore my patients’ dental health, get them out of any pain they are in, and help create a future adult who does not have dental fears or anxieties.

I became a pediatric dentist because I have always found so much joy working in settings with children- I have even worked with children since I was a piano teacher in high school and college. I love interacting with my patients, determining and discussing their interests, and incorporating that into every appointment.

As your child’s pediatric dentist, I strive to gain both their and your trust as their dental home.

Education and Experience

Though I am originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia, I started my higher education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a minor in Medical Anthropology. These degrees not only prepared me in the sciences for dental school but also allow me to communicate with my Spanish-speaking patients.

I then went on to receive my Doctor of Dental Medicine from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Next, I completed my pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone in Tampa, Florida.

Beyond the Office

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family who luckily all live near me in Tampa Bay. My husband Mark and I like to take walks with our dog Bo, cook new recipes, and try all the new restaurants that open in Tampa. I also enjoy reading and spending time with friends.

Beyond work I enjoy volunteering my dental skills in my community. I regularly participate in the annual Florida Missions of Mercy clinics by providing free dental care to children in need. I also volunteer at my dental school in Bradenton, Florida to oversee students who provide free dental care at annual events, including Super Sealant Saturday and Give Kids a Smile.
